Why Solana

What it's for
We're building toward Solana as a settlement layer for value that moves outside the server-side ledger entirely — transactions confirm in under a second and cost a fraction of a cent, which makes it practical for small, frequent transfers in a way most chains aren't.
Kept separate from the in-game ledger
The in-game ledger — HD, rentals, fines, payouts, everything a server's economy runs on — stays exactly what it is now: server-side, typed transfers, hash-chained, auditable. A Solana-based layer is a separate system that doesn't read from or write to that ledger. One is not the other, which is what keeps this from being real-money trading of in-game currency under FiveM's rules.
